The girl was surrounded by light.
She was in a pool of water, sweat dripping from her brow. Her hair stuck to her face and her breathing was shallow. She coughed up some water, crying silently in pain.
Her hands were sticky with blood, covering her chest. Her heart was gone. It was somewhere on the watery floor. She couldn't save it now.
Wading through the freezing water, she pushed open a door, entering a hospital. There were two ways to turn wrong or right. A large arrow pointed to the left, and she turned.
She heard a sickening crunching sound, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end. Black creepers twisted their ways round the corner of the broken down hospital, shooting towards her. She ran away, numbness filling her body.
She could feel her entire body aching with pain, begging her to stop. Her knees gave way and she landed face first on the ground. The creepers had gone, and she was facing a mirror. Instead of her face, she saw others. They pointed and yelled, their eyes covered with shadows.
Suddenly, she wasn't in the hospital anymore. She was in a shabby, empty room. She clenched her fists and felt a sharp pain in her palm. She opened it, realising only too late she held a fistful of tiny, bloody razors. They called to her.
The cracking sound came around again, and she was running in the hospital. The heat of explosions blew behind her, and she pushed faster. The monster kept coming faster, no matter how hard she ran.
She opened her hand again in that room. This time she held a little silver model of the world. It was covered in black blood.
She could feel the words flooding through her head.
You find your strength in solutions, but I liked the tension. And not always knowing the answers. You're gonna lose it. She screamed it to the brick wall. It listened more.
She ran away from the black creepers. The razors bled in her pocket. She felt the tiny globe hanging from a chain on her neck. It hit her empty chest every time she took a step.
Her strides slowed and she felt her entire body melting. She turned into the first room she saw, and she was back in the empty room as before. The razors were in the corner, and she felt the globe burning she skin that it touched. She grabbed it and pulled it off her neck, staring down at it as it reflected the others around her.
She clenched her eyes shut for 13 seconds, and opened them.
The girl was surrounded by darkness.

Wow. That made no sense, but it was strangely beautiful. Horrifying (in the best possible way), but beautiful. I'm really kind of speechless.
